Basil Bacon Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

2 slices bacon

2 slices sourdough

2 tablespoon butter, softened

1 teaspoon basil, dried

Swiss, 1 slice or 1 ounce, shredded

Cheddar, 1 slice or 1 ounce, shredded

Instructions

Cook bacon on medium heat, flipping occasionally to ensure even cooking. Once cooked and crispy, set aside on paper-towel-lined plate.

Discard most of the bacon grease, leaving a coating in the pan (about 1-2 teaspoons).

In a small bowl, use the back of a fork to cream basil into butter.

Butter outer sides of sourdough and assemble grilled cheese with Swiss, bacon, and Cheddar.

Cook grilled cheese over medium heat, flipping after 2-4 minutes when cheese is melty. Cook other side for 2-4 minutes more. Enjoy!
