Ingredients

3 ounces cheddar (3/4 cup after shredded)

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon flour

1/2 cup whole milk

Salt, to taste

Instructions

Shred the cheese and set aside.

Heat a saucepan over medium and add flour and butter. Stir continuously for 1-2 minutes until golden and nutty.

Whisk milk in, stir until mixture comes to a simmer. At this point, it will thicken quickly. Once it coats a spoon, cut the heat.

Stir in shredded cheese in batches until combined. Season with salt.

Serve in a bowl. Enjoy!
