Ingredients

For Bread:

1/3 cup butter

3/4 cup milk

2 eggs, beaten

3/4 cup sugar

2 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon lemon zest

For Glaze:

Lemon, juice

2 tablespoons sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Use butter to grease bread loaf pan. TIP: Save your butter wrappers! They are great for greasing pans.

Cream butter and sugar together until well combined.

Add eggs and lemon rind (about 1 tbsp). Mix well.

Add some of the flour to mixture, then some milk, alternating until all ingredients are combined. End with flour.

Pour into greased pan and bake for 55 minutes to 1 hour. Check with a toothpick for doneness; it should come out clean.

Combine lemon juice (about 1 tbsp) and sugar. Pour over hot loaf in pan and let cool 10 minutes before turning out of pan. Enjoy!
