Milk Drive Held at Fair Grounds

The Dairy Alliance partnered with Bordon Dairy and North Carolina Cooperative Extension Services to provide free milk at the Iredell County Fair Grounds in Troutman for those in need. Volunteers from both the North Carolina Agriculture Extension Services and The Dairy Alliance placed 4,000 gallons into the trunks of community members' cars who came to the contactless milk drive-thru. This event and the 11 other milk drives held throughout the region were made possible through the Farmer to Families Food Box Program funding awarded to Borden through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program and The Dairy Alliance coordinating the milk drives and partnerships for them.
