Dairy At the 2023 Kentucky State Fair

The Kentucky State Fair was held August 17th through the 27th. The Dairy Alliance showcased all things dairy with a new interactive display and fair goers were able to chat with local dairy farm families, receive educational materials and sample Bluegrass Dairy & Foods Award Winning Cheese made in Glasgow, Ky.

The first weekend was full of activities including dairy shows and a cheese auction that raised $23,000 for the dairy show winners.

Going into the final weekend, The Dairy Alliance's Ethan Mattingly hosted a cooking demo that incorporated local dairy products into delicious meals to enjoy home. He prepared a One-Pot Creamy Veggie Pasta and a Harvest Smoothie Bowl for a quick and easy refreshing meal. The pasta include whole milk, whipping cream, butter and two cheeses with fresh vegetables and pasta while the smoothie incorporated whole milk and fruit. Over 60 samples of each were handed out. Attendees raved about the smell and flavor of the pasta and the refreshing smoothie.
